Beautiful antique green tourmaline ring with diamonds.
The ring has been beautifully crafted and is made of 14-carat gold with a hallmark (585).
 
The tourmaline gemstone, with its bright green color, and the diamonds have been tested. The tourmaline shows slight wear due to its age (see photos). The ring was purchased in Germany.
Real tourmalines are rare and do not belong to the classic gemstones that were already known by name in ancient times and, as such, gained their importance as gemstones early on. It can be assumed that the mineral was known in early cultures.
